People on the HCG diet rarely ever report having any bad side effects from the diet. It is common to have no side effects at all, or positive side effects but rare that you might experience a bad side effect.
Most of the uncomfortable side effects usually are a result of your body detoxifying or are symptoms of withdrawls from sugar, processed foods and caffeine. These symptoms usually will include headaches, fatigue, nausea, moodiness and sometimes a rash. These symptoms usually subside with each passing day and don’t last longer than a week if you follow the exact HCG diet plan. It is just your body adjusting to a new, healthier way of eating and reacting to eliminating sugar and sometimes other artificial sweeteners.
If you are experiencing these side effects you should take the recommended over the counter medications to help you get through it. Tylenol or any other headache medicine of your choice can be used and there is no sense in suffering through it. Sometimes taking a walk can help to improve your mood if you’re experiencing moodiness. Drinking lots of water and reaching out to friends, family or other forum members can help as well. Remember you’re not alone in this and chances are there are others that have experienced the same thing when they first started the diet. Also remind yourself that this is only temporary and won’t last.
The majority of people only experience POSITIVE side effects such as rapid weight loss and greatly improved health. Many people have been affected positively in a way that they have drastically reduced health risks such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and more. As you move through the days on the HCG diet you’ll find you have increased energy, the ability to think much clearer and those bad side effects will have gone away completely.
